GET SOME LIPS!

CREATOR/HOST

Glasgow, started in 2014

Get Some Lips! is a queer feminist spoken word night, started by Soroka in 2014 for International Women's Day. Now a regular night, Get Some Lips! creates a space for queer voices to rant, sing, and rap about whatever is on their mind and in their hearts. It's cosy, crazy and just a little hap-hazard. Soroka has an ever-changing rota of guest hosts to be their drag-partner in crime.

You can always expect some impromptu happening, the mood is close-to-off-the-rails with a side of warm fuzzy solidarity.

There's too many white cis-dudes running their mouths off, it's time for us to Get Some Lips!

Performers have included: Sam Small, Leyla Josephine, Agnes Torok, Izzy Roberts-Orr, Cee Smith, Nima Sene, Emily Still, Ariel Silvera, Bel Pye, Maki, Sarah Short and Katy Dye.
